The image in some people's minds of scientists working in an "ivory tower" has long been proved wrong by Potsdam scientists. For several years they have given public lectures, popularizing scientific knowledge and current research projects and raising awareness of the importance of scientific research in the province of Brandenburg. These lectures under the title of "Potsdamer Köpfe" have become a popular event.
Lecture topics represent almost all fields of science, ranging from "The Magnetic Universe" to "Do climate change and globalization increase the danger of exotic animal epidemics in Germany?". The lectures take place once a month on Sundays at 11:00 am at the Alte Rathaus (Old City Hall).
In cooperation with University of Potsdam and LAUF e.V. With the fríendly assistance ofMärkische Allgemeine, radio 1, Pro Potsdam and Verein Soziale Stadt.
