The Stirling Technology Institute Potsdam (STIP) is a non-profit-making organisation with limited liability. Based in Potsdam-Rehbrücke, it has been active since 1 January 2010.

The organisation aims to publicise the field of Stirling technology and promote science and research relating to it. Access to information on Stirling technology shall be made available to the public via an information database.

The work of a research and development laboratory combined with the operation of a Stirling test engine will be particularly beneficial for Stirling engine research.
